Josh Cook is a fiction writer, teacher, editor, occasional critic, and closet poet. (Aren’t we all?) Before his MFA at Pacific University (studied with Brady Udall, Jack Driscoll, Kellie Wells, Craig Lesley), he worked a variety of jobs, from restaurant manager to janitor to substandard guitar instructor. (He plays by ear.) His writing has appeared in many outlets across the country, including Virginia Quarterly Review the Washington Postthe Iowa Review, the Millions, the Rumpus, Sugar House Reviewand Rain Taxi Review of Books, among others. He’s a regular contributor to the The Minneapolis-Star Tribune and The Growler Magazine. He teaches at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, and is the former editor-at-large of Thirty-Two Magazine. (Did he mention that he likes parentheticals?)
